DISTRIBUTOR CAP

Removal

1. Loosen the distributor cap hold down screws.
2. Remove the cap straight up to avoid damage to the distributor rotor blade and spring.

Installation

1. Position the distributor cap over the distributor, aligning the position of the attaching screws with the screw holes on the distributor.
2. Tighten the hold down screws to 18-23 in lb.
3. Reinstall any ignition wires that were removed, noting their correct locations on the distributor cap.

ROTOR

Removal

With the distributor cap removed, pull rotor upward to remove it from the distributor shaft.

Installation

Align location boss on rotor with hole on armature. Fully seat rotor on the distributor shaft.
