Fig. 18 ABS Quick Check Sheet:
To properly conduct the Quick Test Checks an EEC-IV breakout box No. T83L-50-EEC-IV, anti-lock harness adapter No. T87P-50-ALA and a digital volt/ohmmeter (No. 007-00001), or equivalents must be used. All quick tests are performed in the vehicle's luggage compartment using the EEC-IV breakout box and the harness adapter. These group of tests will lead to specific diagnostic Pinpoint Test that will, in most cases, identify the fault/malfunction. If the fault/malfunction is not determined by the Quick Test procedure, use the following Diagnostic Lamp Symptom Chart to identify the proper diagnostic procedure to be conducted.
Refer to ABS quick check sheet Fig. 18, for item to be tested, ignition switch mode position, measurement taken between terminal pin numbers, tester scale/range, volt/ohm specifications and the specific pinpoint test to correct this group of malfunctions. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS for Pinpoint Tests.
