Test 20, Check VRS+ Circuit For Short To VBAT
With key off and ECA disconnected, disconnect EDIS module from EDIS module tee, leaving diagnostic cable connected to vehicle harness connector. Set DVOM to 20-volt scale. Turn key on, but leave engine off. Measure voltage between breakout box pins No. (+) J35 (VRS+ E) and (-) J7 (BAT -).
If voltage is greater than 0.5 volt, repair short in harness. Remove all test equipment, and reconnect all components. Clear Continuous Memory, and check for fault codes. If voltage is less than 0.5 volt, replace EDIS module. Remove all test equipment, and reconnect all components. Clear Continuous Memory, and check for fault codes.
