1991 Ford Probe GL, StandardSECTION Pinpoint Test C3: Steering Angle Sensor Check
  1. Disconnect steering angle sensor connector. Set steering wheel straight. Set VOM on 200-k/ohm scale. Measure resistance between Green and Green/White wires while turning steering wheel slowly from straight to 180 degrees right. If resistance increases from 25 k/ohms to approximately 50 k/ohms, proceed to PINPOINT TEST C4  . If resistance is NOT as specified, replace steering angle sensor.
  2. With steering wheel straight, measure resistance between Green and Green/White wires. If resistance is 20-30 k/ohms, proceed to PINPOINT TEST C4  . If resistance is NOT as specified, replace steering angle sensor.
