Warning Light System Check
1991 Ford Probe GL, StandardSECTION Warning Light System Check
- Turn ignition switch to ON position (engine not running). Observe operation of warning lights. Start engine. Again observe operation of warning lights.
- If BRAKE warning light does not come on when ignition switch is turned on (engine not running), go to BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CHECK.
- If SEAT BELT warning light does not come on when ignition switch is turned on (engine not running), go to SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT INOPERATIVE CHECK.
- If CHECK ENGINE warning light does not come on when ignition switch is turned on (engine not running), go to ECA CHECK.
- Start engine. If BRAKE warning light does not go off when engine is running, go to BRAKE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF.
- If SEAT BELT warning light does not go off when engine is running, go to SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT SHORT CHECK NO. 1.
- If check engine warning light does not go off when engine is running, go to CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF.
