  1. Start engine. Observe operation of all gauges. If all gauges are not working, see INSTRUMENT PANEL FUSE CHECK in this article.
  2. If all gauges except tachometer are working, go to TACHOMETER PULSE CHECK NO. 1. If tachometer is not accurate, go to TACHOMETER TESTING.
