Keyboard Function Check No. 4

1991 Ford Probe GL, StandardSECTION Keyboard Function Check No. 4
  1. Using Gauge System Tester (Rotunda 021-00055), connect one lead of tester to Black/Yellow wire at keyboard 10-pin connector.
  2. Instrument keyboard 10-pin connector is located behind trip computer keyboard. See IDENTIFYING ELECTRONIC KEYBOARD CIRCUITS illustration.
  3. Slowly adjust resistance from 0-1000 ohms and back to 0 again. Check if METRIC, ETA, SET and RESET functions are working.
  4. If no functions are working, go to KEYBOARD FUNCTION CHECK NO. 5. If all functions are working, replace keyboard. If some functions are working, replace trip computer.
