Tachometer:
The tachometer is used primarily for verifying engine Revolutions Per Minute (RPM), while making adjustments to the idle speed, ignition timing, or control components which are dependent upon engine RPM.
Other tests may be performed using the tachometer. These tests are indicated by the types of read-out information provided on the front of the tachometers read-out panel.
