1991 Ford Club Wagon E350, 7.3 MSECTION Test 4, Check Pip Continuity To EEC

Turn key off. Ensure ECA is disconnected. Set DVOM to 2-k/ohm scale. Measure resistance between breakout box pin No. J43 (PIP E) and vehicle harness connector pin No. 56 (PIP). See Figure.

If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next test. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open circuit. Remove all test equipment, and reconnect all components. Clear Continuous Memory, and run QUICK TEST. See TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section.
