1991 Ford Club Wagon E350, 7.3 MSECTION Test 13, Check PWR GND To EDIS Module

Turn key off. Disconnect ECA. Install EDIS diagnostic cable, and connect it to breakout box, EDIS module and coil pack. Do not connect VR sensor tee. Connect diagnostic cable negative lead to battery negative terminal, leaving positive lead disconnected. Set diagnostic cable box switch to 4/6 CYLINDER position. Set DVOM to 2-k/ohm scale. Measure resistance between breakout box pins No. J27 (PWR GND) and J7 (BAT -).

If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next test. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open circuit. Remove all test equipment, and reconnect all components. Check for fault codes. If vehicle still does not start, go to next test.
