1991 Ford Aerostar Van Cargo Extended, 4.0 X, AWDSECTION Test 4, Check Pip Out Continuity

With key off, disconnect ECA. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between vehicle harness connector pin No. 56 and breakout box pin No. J31 (PIP EEC). See Fig 1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, see CIRCUIT TEST A in TESTS W/CODES article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE Section. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open circuit, reconnect ECA and retest system. If vehicle still does not start, go to next test.
