The FMEM mode allows system operation when one or more sensors fail or transmit signals which are out of their normal operating range. The ECA will substitute a mid-range signal for the defective sensor and continue to monitor the sensor. If the faulty sensor signals return to within the normal operating range the ECA will use those signals. A code 98 will be displayed when the FMEM mode is in effect.
