  1. Separate distributor connector from wiring harness. Inspect for dirt, corrosion, or damage. Connect ohmmeter leads to distributor base and Black wire terminal in distributor connector. Wiggle distributor grommet while measuring resistance.
  2. If resistance is less than one ohm, circuit is okay. If resistance is greater than one ohm, check ground screw in distributor housing. After test, reconnect distributor.
