- Turn ignition to "RUN" position and observe display. If all display segments light normally, and then display returns to normal operation, go to next step.
- Ensure "ENGLISH/METRIC switch is in English released position. Depress and hold "GAUGE SELECT" switch in, while turning ignition to "RUN" position. Verify that display shows all zeros and note number of bar segments lit on tachometer display. Release "GAUGE SELECT" switch.
- If 24 bar segments were lit on tachometer display, replace tach/multigauge module and recheck cluster operation. If module does not respond when "GAUGE SELECT" switch is depressed, go to Test T. If normal display was shown (8 bar segments lit on tachometer and one bar lit on multigauge), go to next step.
- Ensure "ENGLISH/METRIC switch is in English (released) position. Depress and hold "GAUGE SELECT" switch in, while turning ignition to "RUN" position. Advance to display portion of test by pushing "GAUGE SELECT" switch until Test display appears, 8 segments and a number 69. See Fig 1 .
- Continue advancing through each step of Test Display by depressing "GAUGE SELECT" button. Verify that the displays match the following. See Fig 2 . If all Test Display Patterns are correct, system is okay. If display areas are incorrect, replace tach/multigauge module and recheck cluster operation.
