  1. Manually move turbocharger blade shaft assembly as far in one direction as possible. Spin blade shaft by hand.
  2. Move blade shaft in opposite direction as far as possible, and spin blade shaft by hand.
  3. If neither turbine blade or compressor blade contacts any portion of their respective housings, bearings are still good.
  4. If either blade contacts with their respective housing, bearings are worn, and turbocharger should be replaced.
