This system is used to indicate when engine oil level is 1 1/2 quarts or more below the specified level. The lamp will be illuminated during engine starting. If oil level is sufficient, the lamp will go off when engine is operating. If oil level is low the lamp will remain on until engine oil is added and the ignition switch is placed in the Off position. The module will take approximately 5 minutes to reset. If the engine is started during this period, the last recorded reading will be displayed.
