  1. Separate control module 4-wire connector and inspect for corrosion or damage. Connect ohmmeter leads to harness connector terminals that mate with Orange and Purple control module wires. Wiggle wiring harness when measuring resistance.
  2. If resistance is 400-1300 ohms, proceed to CONTROL MODULE-TO-DISTRIBUTOR WIRING HARNESSΒ  test. If resistance is less than 400 ohms or more than 1300 ohms, proceed to PICK-UP COIL RESISTANCEΒ  test.
