1987 Ford Econoline E350, Van Display, 4.9 YSECTION Oil Pressure Indicator Light
  1. Turn ignition on, but do not start engine. Indicator light should come on. Start engine. Warning light should go out within 3 or 4 seconds.
  2. To test oil pressure switch, turn ignition on, but do not start engine. If indicator light does not come on, disconnect wire from oil pressure switch terminal and touch to ground.
  3. If light comes on, oil pressure switch is defective. If light does not come on, check for bad bulb or open wiring in bulb circuit.
