Door Locks - Power: Testing: Relays
1987 Ford Econoline E150, Van Cargo Extended, 5.0 NSECTION Relays
- Remove both relay connectors. Relays are located on lower left side of instrument panel reinforcement. Make sure that terminal No. 1 of relay is grounded. If not, check relay case-to-ground screws for tightness.
- If screws are tight, replace relay. With a test light connected between terminals No. 1 and 2, apply power to terminals No. 2 and 4 of each relay. See Fig 1 . Do not leave light connected for more than 2 minutes. Test light should light. If not, replace relay.
