Auxiliary A/C-Heater Assembly
1987 Ford Cutaway 7.5 LSECTION Auxiliary A/C-Heater Assembly
- Discharge A/C refrigerant system using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. Drain cooling system. Remove first bench seat. Remove the auxiliary A/C-heater cover attaching screws and remove cover.
- Disconnect heater hoses and plug openings. Disconnect refrigerant line from expansion valve and suction line from evaporator core and cap openings.
- From under vehicle, disconnect auxiliary blower motor wiring at connectors. Disengage wiring harness from retaining strap. Remove case assembly retaining screws and lift case assembly. Remove wiring harness grommet from floor seal. Remove case from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure, using new "O" rings lubricated with clean refrigerant oil. Leak test, evacuate and recharge system.
