  1. With engine at idle, accelerate to 2000 RPM or more, then let it return to idle. Manifold vacuum should exceed 20.6 in. Hg since system includes a vacuum solenoid valve.
  2. If vacuum diaphragm plunger extends and retracts, system is functioning properly. If not, continue with tests in sequence given.
