Starter Motor: Service and Repair
1986 Ford Aerostar V6-183 3.0LSECTION Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Disconnect starter relay to starter electrical cable.
3. Remove starter mounting bolts, then the starter assembly.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Torque starter mounting bolts to 15-20 ft.lbs.
