1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then turn lock cylinder to LOCK position.
2. On models equipped with tilt steering column, remove upper extension shroud by depressing top and bottom of shroud and releasing it from left side retaining plate.
3. On all models, remove steering column trim shroud halves.
4. Disconnect electrical connector from ignition switch.
5. Using a {1/8} inch drill bit, drill out bolt heads of switch attaching bolts, then remove bolts with a No. 3 ``Easy Out'' or equivalent.
6. Disengage switch from actuating pin and remove from vehicle.
7. Reverse procedure to install. Turn lock cylinder to RUN position before installing switch. Tighten attaching bolts until heads shear off.
