1985 Ford Thunderbird Base, 2.3 W, AutomaticSECTION Removal (Mark VII)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove bezel from glove box door lock. Pull rear of front finish panel up and rearward to disengage front locating clips. Disconnect cigar lighter and connectors. Remove finish panel. Remove 4 screws attaching switch mounting plate to console base. Pull mounting plate up. Disconnect electrical connector and remove switch.
