Cold (Fast) Idle Rpm: 5.0L

1984 Ford Econoline E250, Van Display Extended, 5.8 GSECTION 5.0L
  1. With transmission in Neutral (man. trans.) or "P" (auto. trans.), warm engine to normal operating temperature. Disconnect and plug hoses at both EGR valve and thermactor air by-pass valve. Disconnect vacuum hose and electrical connector on EVAP purge solenoid.
  2. Place fast idle adjusting screw on top step of fast idle cam. Check and adjust (if necessary) fast idle by turning fast idle adjusting screw. Reconnect vacuum hoses and electrical connector.
