Electro Vacuum Relay

1976 Ford Pinto Pony, 2D Wagon, Standard TransSECTION Electro Vacuum Relay

The EVR is a combination solenoid vacuum valve. The EVR performs two functions in the system. First, it is used during cold engine operation (when heating is required) to lockout blower operation and to close the fresh air door. This keeps passengers from being blasted by cold air before cooling system warm-up. Secondly, the EVR is used during maximum A/C cooling condition to switch to recirculating air mode for maximum cooling effectiveness.
