- ADJUSTMENT NOTE:Β Idle mixture and speed, fast idle speed, vent valve, anti-stall dashpot, and throttle linkage adjustments must be made with carburetor on engine. All other adjustments can be made with carburetor On Engine or Off Engine except that Choke Valve Pull-down and Fast Idle Cam Linkage adjustment on Comet, Falcon, Fairlane, & Mustang carburetors must be made with the carburetor off the engine.
