NOTE: The PCM engine control strategy prevents reduced idle speeds until after the engine operates for 320 km (200 miles). If the PCM is replaced after 320 km (200 miles) of usage, update the milage in the new PCM. Use the DRB or equivalent scan tool to change the milage in the PCM. Refer to the appropriate procedure and the DRB or scan tool.
REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner.
2. Disconnect PCM 2 40-way connector (Fig. 88)
3. Remove 2 bolts from PCM bracket.
4. Remove PCM.
INSTALLATION
1. Install PCM. Tighten bolt to 4 Nm (35 in lb) torque.
2. Attach 2 40-way connector to PCM.
3. Install air cleaner.
4. Using DRB scan tool, program mileage into PCM. Refer to the DRB or equivalent scan tool and the appropriate procedure.
