Inspect rack components in following manner, replacing parts as necessary:
- Check rack support for uneven wear or damage.
- Check rack support spring for deterioration.
- Check oil seal for cracks or wear.
- Check rack pinion tooth surfaces for wear or damage.
- Check pinion bearing for noise, uneven rotation or damage.
- Check rack bushing for damage.
