Fuel Pump Relay (Control Relay)
Fuel pump relay is located on right side of center console. See Fig 1 . Relay senses when power is supplied to fuel pump. If power to fuel pump does not occur during engine cranking or driving, ECU detects fault and sets Fault Code 42 in memory. CHECK ENGINE light will also illuminate. Fuel pump relay is a multi-purpose relay. See FUEL PUMP RELAY under OUTPUT SIGNALS.

When to See a Mechanic
