Fuel Rails: Removal

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASEΒ in this article. Disconnect battery.
- On 1.8L, disconnect breather hose.
- On 2.0L, remove center cover from top of injectors.
- On all models, disconnect PCV hose. Disconnect accelerator cable clamps and vacuum hoses.
- Wrap fuel lines with shop towel and disconnect fuel lines at fuel rail. Disconnect injector harness connector. Disconnect vacuum hose at fuel pressure regulator.
- Remove fuel rail retaining bolts. Remove fuel rail and injectors from intake manifold by lifting assembly upward so injectors come straight out of intake ports.
