Stoplight Switch

  1. Disconnect stoplight switch connector. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between stoplight switch connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3 with brake pedal depressed. See Fig 1 . Replace stoplight switch if continuity does not exist.
  2. Move ohmmeter leads to stoplight switch connector terminals No. 1 and No. 4. Continuity should exist with brake pedal released. Replace stoplight switch if continuity does not exist.
