1990 Eagle Summit Base, StandardSECTION Removal
- Remove hub caps (if equipped). Remove cotter pin and loosen drive axle nut. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly and axle nut. Remove caliper and suspend out of the way.
- On Colt Wagon, remove undercover and centermember. On Colt Vista 4WD, remove brake disc from hub. Remove front speed sensor (if equipped).
- On all models, disconnect stabilizer bar and/or strut bar from control arm. Support control arm. Disconnect lower ball joint and tie rod end from steering knuckle. Install puller on hub.
- Tighten puller and separate drive axle from hub. Separate steering knuckle from strut. Remove knuckle/hub assembly from vehicle. Separate hub from steering knuckle (if required). See appropriate WHEEL BEARINGS R & I subject in this article.
