1988 Eagle Premier LX, 2.5 ZSECTION Speed Sensor Operation

The speed sensor is located on the left side of the transmission converter housing. The sensor detects the flywheel/driveplate teeth as they pass during engine operation and sends an electrical signal to the ECU, which calculates engine speed and/or crankshaft angle.
