VERIFICATION OF REPAIR:Β
- Inspect the vehicle to make sure that all components are properly installed and connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary.
- After repairs are complete, erase all DTCs with the scan tool.
- Refer to the table below to determine if a learn procedure should be performed for the component that was removed or replaced. Not all learn procedures are available for all vehicles. If a component listed in the table is replaced and the correlating learn procedure is present in the scan tool, navigate to "Miscellaneous Functions" and perform the learn procedure before verifying repair. Failure to do so may cause the same, or another DTC to set.
Scan Tool Learn Procedures Component replaced or removed: Note: (All available Learn procedures should be performed when a EVCU is replaced) Brake Pedal Learn Brake Pedal Position Sensor, Brake Pedal Assembly Check EVCU Odometer EVCU Replaced Check EVCU VIN EVCU Replaced EVCU Replaced Routine EVCU Replaced - If the EVCU has been replacedΒ , perform the Module Programming procedure. Refer to the appropriate Service Information . Be certain that the secret key code, VIN and odometer mileage are programmed after programming the EVCU.
- Operate the vehicle in accordance with the parameters and specific information found in the Monitoring Conditions and Theory of Operation of the DTC that was repaired.
- With the scan tool, verify that no DTCs have returned.
- If the DTC returned check for any service bulletins or star online cases that may apply. If no bulletins exist, return to and perform the DTC procedure.
- If the DTC or condition did not return, repair is complete.
