Diagnostic Test

2024 Dodge and Ram ProMaster 3500 Base, CutawaySECTION Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    NOTE:

    This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid. 

    1. Perform any Service Bulletins that may apply.
    2. Turn the ignition on.
    3. For future reference, with the scan tool, run and save a vehicle Scan Report and all related recorded data.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
    5. With the scan tool, read and record Environmental Data to help identify the conditions in which the DTC was set.
    6. With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
    7. Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10.0 seconds.
    8. Start the vehicle
    9. Press the brake pedal firmly and release.
    10. With the scan tool, read BSCM DTCs.

      Is the DTC active?

      Yes 

      • Go To Next Step.

      No 

      • The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension and repair as necessary.
      • Perform the BSCM-INTERMITTENT CONDITION TEST. Refer to BSCM INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
  2. Check for RF Hub Codes 
    1. With the use of the scan tool read RF Hub DTCs.

      Are there any DTCs present on the RF Hub Module?

      Yes 

      • Diagnose the RF Hub DTCs before continuing this test.

      No 

      • Go To Next Step
  3. TPM-RKE ANALYZER 2046300080 

    Is there a TPM-RKE Analyzer (special tool #2046300080, Kit, TPM/RKE ANALYZER) available?

    Yes 

    • Go To Next Step.

    No 

    • Go To  5
  4. WITH TPM-RKE TOOL CHECK TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING (TPM) SENSOR ID(S) 
    NOTE:

    Always be certain to select the proper vehicle line and model year when using this tool, as the tool will automatically use the correct protocol to attempt to read the Sensor. If the incorrect vehicle line and/or model year is selected, the Sensor will not respond to the tool.
