Cooler, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR): Installation
2024 Dodge and Ram Durango SXT Plus, RWDSECTION Installation
- Clean the gasket mating surfaces.
- Using a NEWΒ
gasket, install the EGR cooler and tighten the inlet flange bolts (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Install the lower bolts (1) securing the EGR cooler and tighten to the proper specifications. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Install the outlet coolant hose (3) to the EGR cooler.
- Install the inlet from pressurized coolant bottle hose (2), to the EGR cooler.
- Install the EGR inlet tube (2) to the EGR cooler (1).
- Connect the EGR temperature sensor wire harness connector (1).
- Install the generator. Refer to: 3.6L, GENERATOR, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to: 3.6L, 5.7L, 6.4L Engine - COOLING SYSTEM - STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to 3.6L, COVER, ENGINE, INSTALLATION .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
