Solenoid, Variable Valve Timing: Removal: Left
2024 Dodge and Ram Durango SXT Plus, RWDSECTION Left
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor.
- Loosen the clamp (1) at the throttle body.
- Loosen the clamp (4) at the air cleaner body.
- Remove the air inlet hose (3).NOTE:
Mark the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid connectors (1) with a paint pen or equivalent so that they may be installed to their original locations.
- Mark the intake VVT solenoid (4) and the exhaust VVT solenoid (2) with a paint pen or equivalent so that they may be installed to their original locations.
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the VVT solenoid.
- Remove the VVT solenoid mounting bolts (3).
- Pull the VVT solenoid from the cylinder head cover.
- The seal (1) can be reused if not damaged.
