Sensor, Air Temperature, Intake: Removal: 5.7L

  1. Remove the oil fill cap (1).
  2. Lift and separate the engine cover retaining grommets from the ball studs and remove the engine cover (2).
    NOTE:

    The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (1) is installed into the air cleaner resonator.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector at the IAT sensor (1).

  4. Gently lift on the small plastic release tab (3) and rotate the IAT sensor (2) about 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and remove.

  5. Check condition of sensor O-Ring, replace if necessary.
