Manifold, Intake: Removal

- Perform the fuel system pressure release procedure. Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the engine covers (1).
- Disconnect the fuel supply line. Refer to: FITTING, Quick Connect - DISCONNECTING .
- Remove the air cleaner housing. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the brake booster hose and the EVAP purge hose.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the following components:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
- Short Runner Valve (SRV)
- Fuel Injectors
- Electronic Throttle Control (ETC)
NOTE:Remove the intake manifold and throttle body as an assembly.
- Using the sequence shown in illustration, remove the intake manifold retaining bolts.
- Remove the intake manifold and throttle body as an assembly from the vehicle.
