Damper, Vibration: Removal

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: COOLING SYSTEM - DRAINING .
- Remove the upper radiator hose clamps (1) and remove the upper radiator hose (2).
- Remove the oil cooler hose clamp (3) and remove oil cooler hose (4) and position aside.
- Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to: BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the cooling fan assembly. Refer to: 3.6L/5.7L/6.4L - FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL
.NOTE:
When installing the puller tool, ensure the bolts are fully threaded through the entire crankshaft damper.
- Remove the vibration damper bolt and discard.
- Install the puller tool (2) making sure the bolts are fully threaded through the entire crankshaft damper.
- Remove the crankshaft damper (1).
