Module, Security Gateway (SGW): Installation

NOTE:

If a installing a NEW  Security Gateway (SGW) Module, use the scan tool to configure/program the Module. Failure to configure/program the Module will leave the SGW Module in a locked mode, preventing proper SGW Module operation.

  1. Position the SGW Module to the bracket, then install and securely tighten the screws (1).

  2. Connect the SGW Module wiring harness connectors (1).

  3. Install and securely tighten the SGW Module bracket bolts (2).
  4. Connect the wiring harness connector, position passenger silencer panel (1) on instrument panel and install the fasteners.

  5. Install passenger side cowl panel. Refer to PANEL, COWL TRIM, SIDE, INSTALLATION .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  7. If a NEW  SGW Module is installed, use the scan tool to configure/program the SGW Module.
