Fuel System Pressure Release
Use this procedure whether or not the fuel rail is equipped with a fuel pressure test port.Β
- Remove the fuel fill cap.
- Remove the Power Distribution Center (PDC) cover from the PDC housing base.
- Remove the fuel pump fuse from the PDC.
- Start and run the engine until it stalls.
- Attempt restarting the engine until it will no longer start.
- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.CAUTION:
Before separating a Quick-Connect fitting, pay attention to what type of fitting is being used. This will prevent unnecessary fitting or fitting latch breakage.
