FOBIK Programming

2024 Dodge and Ram 1500 TRXSECTION FOBIK Programming
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2023 RAM 1500 Classic. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) may be programmed to recognize up to a total of eight FOBIKs. When replacing or adding a FOBIK, the integrated key must be cut to match the door lock cylinder in the vehicle for which it will be used. Once an additional or new key has been cut, the RFH must be programmed to recognize it is a valid FOBIKΒ  . When programming a FOBIK it will be necessary to have a vehicle Sentry Key PIN. Follow the instructions on the scan tool screen.

This procedure will require you to log into DealerCONNECT to obtain the Sentry Key PIN.Β

NOTE:

Only ONE (1) FOBIK can be programmed at a time.

  • Premium System (Push-Button Start) - All other FOBIKs must remain outside of the vehicle, including already programmed FOBIKs. (Interference from other FOBIKs may interrupt programming and cause programming to be unsuccessful.)
  • Baseline System (Rotary - FOBIK Insertion) - All other FOBIK, including already programmed FOBIKs, must remain a minimum of 30cm (12 inches) from the FOBIK inserted into the Ignition Module while programming. (Interference from other nearby FOBIKs may interrupt programming.)
