Module, Integrated Center Stack (ICSM): Removal
Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable and wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the instrument panel center bezel (1) from the instrument panel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL
.NOTE:
Take the proper precautions to protect the front face of the center bezel from cosmetic damage.
- Place the center bezel on a workbench and remove the 13 screws (2) that secure the Integrated Center Stack (ICS) module to the instrument panel center bezel and remove the module.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
