Module, Heated Seat (HSM): Description
The Heated Seat Module (HSM) (1), also know as the comfort seat wheel module, is a microcontroller designed to use the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus messages from the U-Connect Touchβ’ screen module to operate the front heated seats, front vented seats, heated steering wheel and the rear heated seats, depending on how equipped.
When equipped with rear heated seats, the HSM receives request signals from the rear heated seat switches over hard-wired circuits.
The HSM has multiple electrical connector outlets (2) and three retaining tabs (3 and 4) that secure it to a bracket mounted to the underside of the front passenger seat.
