Module, A/C And Heater: Description
The A/C heater module is a microcontroller designed to operate the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, using the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus on models that have the radio control knobs integral to the radio. Vehicles equipped with the A/C heater module do not have a separate HVAC module. The A/C heater module has a plastic housing with one or two integral electrical connector receptacles (3), depending on model, and 13 mounting screw points (2).
The A/C heater module is located in the center stack of the instrument panel. It is integral with the radio bezel (1).
