Removal And Installation: Microphone-Rear

2024 Dodge and Ram 1500 TRXSECTION Microphone-Rear

NOTE:

There are four Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) Microphones in the headliner.

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM, 3.0L & 5.7L EZH or BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - ETORQUE SYSTEM, 3.6L & 5.7L EZL or BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM, 6.2L .
    NOTE:

    It is not necessary to remove the headliner from the vehicle to perform this procedure.

  2. Lower the headliner to gain access to the microphone and wire harness connector. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the microphone wire harness connector (1).
  4. Using an appropriate trim tool, gently pry the bezel latch features (2) enough to release the lock tabs of the microphone (3).
  5. Remove the microphone (3) from the bezel.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Position the microphone to the bezel for installation.

  2. Install the microphone (3) in the bezel until the latch features (2) have fully engaged the lock tabs of the microphone.
  3. Connect the microphone wire harness connector (1)
  4. Install the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM, 3.0L & 5.7L EZH or BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - ETORQUE SYSTEM, 3.6L & 5.7L EZL or BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT - SINGLE 12V BATTERY SYSTEM, 6.2L .
