Diagnostic Test
2023 Dodge and Ram Durango SRT Hellcat PlusSECTION Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, create a Vehicle Scan Report and attach it to the repair order.
- Lower the passenger window.
- Turn the ignition on to off three times.
- Leave ignition in the Lock position.
- Close the doors.
- Open the passenger door.
- Turn the ignition on and wait one minute.
- With the scan tool, read PDM DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension and repair as necessary. If no problems are found, test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE PASSENGER DOOR COURTESY (SILL) LAMP FOR A SHORT
- With the scan tool, erase the DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Remove the inner door panel trim in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the Passenger Door Courtesy (sill) Lamp connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Close then open the passenger door.
- Wait one minute.
- With the scan tool, read PDM DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Passenger Door Courtesy (trim/puddle) Lamp Assembly.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (M44) PASSENGER DOOR COURTESY LAMP DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C5 harness connector.
- Check for continuity between ground and the (M44) Passenger Door Courtesy Lamp Driver circuit in the PDM C5 harness connector.
Is there continuity between ground and the (M44) Passenger Door Courtesy Lamp Driver circuit?
Yes
- Repair the (M44) Passenger Door Courtesy Lamp Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace the Passenger Door Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, DOOR (DDM/PDM), REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
