Module, Park Assist (PAM): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery.
  2. Partially remove the trim far enough from the right quarter inner panel to access the Park Assist Module (PAM) (4) on the inside of the right lower D-pillar (2). Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL .
  3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (3) from the PAM connector receptacle. Vehicles equipped with the front park assist option will have an additional connection to the PAM at this location, which must also be disconnected.
  4. Remove the fastener (1) that secures the mounting tab at the top of the PAM to the inner D-pillar.
  5. Lift the PAM upward far enough to disengage the mounting tabs at the bottom of the PAM from the slots in the inner D-pillar.
  6. Remove the PAM from the vehicle.
